I changed the pads a rotors on the 99 and took the car out to bed the brakes and the left rear rotor does not look like it is being worn by the pad. I tried readjusting the piston with the adjuster screw but that did not seem to make a difference. What should I be checking?

from a 1990 diff? bought a bad complete diff for just the housing I thought the axle stubs were held in by a snap ring, and you just pried them till they snapped loose not working for me, so obviously I'm wrong about that anyone know how to pop them out?
