    Portable Firefox is always an option, but honestly, it's a pain in the butt.

    A German guy put together portable Chrome, and it's good stuff! Download the "Latest Release" and run it to extract the files to your USB drive.

    You can fetch it here: http://stadt-bremerhaven.de/portable-chrome-021510/

    (You can find a "build your own" version here: http://portableapps.com/apps/interne...hrome_portable but you'll need to run that at home on your own computer to get it working since most of you having problems wouldn't be able to run the installer app that creates the portable copy)

    The first time you launch it, you'll need to change the language setting to English (unless you speak German...) The easiest way is to "reset to defaults" using these steps.

    Click the Wrench icon in the upper right and choose "Optionen"

    Look in the lower right for the button "Auf Standardeinstellungen zurücksetzen" and click it.

    Click "Auf Standardeinstellungen zurücksetzen" again to confirm.

    Press the "Esc" key on your keyboard or click on Schlieben to close the Options dialog. Then close and relaunch Chrome using the ChromeLoader.exe and you'll be in English.

    Enjoy! All your settings and files live in the Profil folder and travel with you on your USB drive.

    Got =^..^=?

    We do!

    Sorry for the marked absence of a "front page" on dfwmiata.com. The previous site succumbed to a security vulnerability - after falling victim to a long period of no updates... Which led to a lack of motivation to do anything to revive it.

    Thanks to jrj and cohorts for getting an autocross calendar up in our absence.

    There are a few changes... The entire site now lives at http://www.dfwmiata.com. See the "Forum" button above to get where you want to go. You may also like the "What's New" button. All your saved bookmarks *should* work just fine. The forums.dfwmiata.com site will continue to redirect to the new location indefinitely.
