I am on the hunt for an older Miata as a project car. I was curious if anyone had anything that they know of or if they know the best place to start looking. At this point I am looking to spend less than $2000 so I really mean a project car. It can be running or not. If anyone has any suggestions or directions, that would be helpful. FYI, I live in the Houston area.

Might see if this one is still for sale. The body looked to be in decent shape from what I saw. I didn't look at it too carefully though, but the paint still looked decent for its age.

You might also get in touch with VFR750 or cam76034 here on the boards. They seem to have a knack for finding project cars (esp cam)... ;)
Check with forum member MadMerv. He has a few cars he was trying to sell.
