My new home made FLP bracket

So JDM. ;) Looks good.
Please tell me those are not Holiday Lights wrapped around your roll bar.

It's ugly! Such a shame to ruin a beautiful car with an ugly license plate.
-
Looks nice, but is there a backing on the metal to keep it from hitting the lip at highway speed? It would be a shame to ruin that paint.

I know. ::Rant:: If those politicians in Austin would pull their heads out of their asses and eliminate the FP Law I wouldn't be forced to do it. It'll come off when I get brave again.

It flexes a bit more than I wish because the arm is trimmed down to make it as narrow as possible. I placed adhesive all-weather foam weather strip on the pack of the plate where it can rub. Hopefully that will protect the paint. I also have door edge guard around the plate to cover the sharp metal edges.

It looks very JDM. By the way, where did you get your ticket. Was it local or the trooper? Possibly this guy was behind on his quoter and you became the easy fix for his problem!
-
Looks very nice (if ya gotta run a front plate)! I've received a couple of verbal warnings from the Storm Troopers, but no real "fix-it" tickets. I figured I wouldn't do anything till I got a for-real-money-shot ticket from a bubble gum machine, but I'm curious about your design... :D
Looks like you cut your plate down and bent it around a little bit - so if I had to run a front plate, that's how I'd do it...
BTW, didn't I read something about the TX legislature mulling over the idea of killing front plates altogether?

For years and years... but it's never taken off.

Dude! You always get busted. Remember when we went down to hill country several years ago? Six cars with no front license plates traveling in a line and who gets busted? YOU!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!
Seriously though. You did a good job on the bracket.
