Bigger Brakes for my '91

I'm looking to retro fit to my '91 with bigger brakes. I'm planning on buying new crossed drilled rotors and new brake pads with either choice below.

My understanding is that I can either:

A) '94-'00 Swap. Get the caliper brackets from a '94-'00 model (switching the brackets left to right) and use the same calipers & brake lines I have on my '91 (or the ones that come with the assembly if I get the whole assembly), and then use the new 10" rotors front and 9.9" rear, & new pads I plan to purchase.

OR

B) '01-'02 Swap. Get brackets & calipers from the larger (11") '01-'02 Sport model and buy new 11" front rotors & new pads & new front brake lines.

Now, my questions:

1) Anybody have these for sale? Or know of a good used source / junk yard?

2) On the '01-'02 Sport, are the REAR calipers & brake lines different since the sport rear rotors are 10.9" dia.?

If you go with the '01-'02 version, be sure your wheels will clear them. Early OEM won't.

No wheel problem, 17" Konig Helium's

Try swapping pads first, I was going to upgrade and I went to HP+ pads in the front and I can easily outbrake the Azenis.

I am pleased with the 1.8 brakes on my 93LE.
It was as easy as a brake job.
I have to be careful, SUV's can't stop as well as I can. ;)

Cosmo, adjust those rear brakes.

How do I adjust them and what is the purpose? I feel like the brake bias is actually pretty good and the car is stable under hard braking.

Why do you want to do this? I tend to drive my cars hard on the track ;) and have never had any prolems with OEM brakes. I would recommend better pads and keep your OEM rotors and calipers.

Well, it may sound silly, but I want to fill up the "empty space" look behind my bigger wheels with something larger than the OEM 9.25" front & 9.1" rear rotors. Especially since there are fairly inexpensive choices of 10.0" & 9.9" from the '94-'02 and/or the 11.0" & 10.9' from the '01-'02 sport and '03+ cars, it is an easy swap.
Plus with the slightly heavier, larger wheels & tires, a little more braking ability can't be all bad.

Unless you run F/I, no need for bigger brakes. And no need for drilled rotors. either, unless you like the bling...
