I am trying to work on an unsteady idle, 500 - 1500 rpm range. Screwed up the map and tried to load the Reload Turbo 1. Now all messed up. So, I am looking for help in tuning and a map. Any one out there with the following setup and would send me their map file korgeron at gmail dot com?

I think Titus and Turbo Duane are probably the experts with Link if that's what you're running.

I'm running a 1.6 Link w/ 440s, but mine is supercharged so the map is completely different. Sharpie has a 1.6 Turbo with a LINk so his should be closer. If he you get a map from someone running 550s, you can adjust master fuel to and it will adjust the whole map together to adjust for the different injectors.
I found this on FM's site. Do I upload it with DLL? How?

You can enter the numbers in one by one via the keypad, or you can load it with DLL. The DLL manual should have an easy step by step instruction set for loading a whole file.Quote:

OK, after a day of troubleshooting this is what I found:
1. 3 bad spark plugs
2. timing was way off (good thing I kept that timing light)
3. MAP was screwy
4. New O2 sensor
Car is now running. Boost is set to 9psi until I get the fuel, timing, boost number straight in my head. Idle is semi-solid.

If I add more boost do I need to change fuel and timing or will the Link do it for me?
Nope the Link is dumb and will only do what it is told. If the Link was a blond this would be acceptable, but since it isn't you will need to retune the affected zones.Quote:

the link has a "self tuning" feature and my car ran on that until i could get to a dyno and have it professionally tuned. like i said, it ran, but not all that great. i would just spend a few hundred bucks and get it tuned so you dont have to worry. there is nothing worse that driving a turbo car that isnt tuned right. lol.
So where did you have it tuned at? I have not found any local shops that are familiar with the LINK and I just don't have the time to tune it properly myself.Quote:

I have picked up a ton of knowledge on the LINK. Tuning it only takes about an hour and is well worth it. It does help to have someone drive while you tune.
