I am about to roll over 225,000 miles on the original engine with no rebuild, replacement or major repair. Anyone in our group have more miles on the original? I have to give all of the credit to the original owner for mine lasting so long.

168k here
168,505 as of tonight on my 1995.
That works out to about 12,962 miles a year.
Little suggestion from an NC outsider:
Wouldn't it be a good idea to also specify 1.6L or 1.8L? Either that or year.
White had 195k before I but the 1.8l in it. It still ran great, no smoke, oil leak or burn.
Sunny('92) is about to roll over 216K(120K by me). Engine has never been touched except for water pump. Clutch at around 175K. I've been driving Miatas since 1989 and none have ever had any problems except for Speedie('96) who dropped a valve after five years of SCCA Club Racing(7512 miles). I have about 700K Miata miles spread between ten cars, with seven over 120K the last I knew. At the Pocono National event in '98, there was a '90 that was over 340K. He was hoping to make 500K!
Mine had 213k when I pulled it. It's getting rebuilt right now and going back in the car this spring/summer.
No high mileage miata for me, but I just rolled 274,000 miles in the jetta today.
My 94 is nearing 180k.
