Well, Axxis Ultimates are a great street/autox brake pad, but they don't hold up so well to track use. :-? I fried a set of front pads at MSR last weekend, and they left a very uneven layer of deposits on the front rotors. I tried sanding them down in the garage last night, but I think I'd be better off if I had them properly machined.
Anyone got a recommendation on where I can have rotors turned in Plano/Richardson/Garland? On the car or off the car, I don't really have a preference.
Most parts stores turn rotors.
Sadly, most Autozones no longer turn rotors... but I've had good luck at O'Reilly's

I think he's talking about RX-8 brakes, not NB miata.
Brembo fronts on the NB $34 each. Toss them out with the pads. Hawk blues do a number on them. I think the Napa ones are cheaper. Might be the next set. Any interest in my old rotors you can have them for free. I usually change them after 2 sets of pads.
Your dinky little rotors won't fit my car. ::Bleh::
