REM rocked at SXSW

So after being back in Austin this year I decided to buy wristbands for SXSW this year.

Last night we rocked out at Stubb's; we saw Paper Cranes, Dead Confederates, and REM.

REM was pretty awesome, they really put on a great show. Except for them talking politics in the middle of the show. :rolleyes:

I'm looking forward to seeing some other great shows in the next couple days. Austin is a buzz with hipsters right now.

Tom Morello is supposed to be at Stubb's tonight, I wanna go and tell him I beat him on Guitar Hero III, Easy Level.

Should you get the craving, you might also check out the CMJ and Gavin conventions. CMJ is usually in September, and Gavin is in February-ish. Each usually will have quite a few "names" as well as tons of up-and-comers and quite a few wannabes. ;)

I cant believe I missed this... I was off all week too.

Plus they had a huge Burlesque shindig on Thursday night at SXSW my wife is kicking herself because we could have went. ::Rant::::Rant::::Rant::

Next year we're not buying the wristbands unless we can take off Wed-Fri. We did not go to as many shows as I had planned.

We were also thinking about trying to house swap with some Europeans or Australians next year. Would definetly be a cheaper way for lodging.
