Went to Texas Raceway with the NC

I'm supprised to report that my NC pulled 9.990 in the 1/8 mile last Thursday. I was even successfull at beating an S2000*, and an Accura CL, but was handed my arse by a 07/08 Shelby GT Mustang, but by only 3/10's of a second.

I didn't think the NC would get into the 9's. Oddly my '60 is the same as it was in the '97 Turbo, telling me that I must really suck at launching the '97, because it's gets over 10mph at the trap.

*The S2000 actually had a better time, and speed, but my reaction time of .035 was more than enough to hold the victory. His reaction was .465 or so, and I beat him by .18 of a sec.

What was the 60 foot and trap? I got a 9.0 in a 130 whp SE-R with a 1.7 60 foot at Sanger but it only trapped about 73 mph. 1/8 mile is all about the launch.

I don't have my slips in front of me (at work) but If I remember right the 60' times were 2.1xx, with trap speeds at around 68mph.

There were few cars in the 8's, including a GTO runing mid 8's, and a couple of Lightnings. Seemed like the stockish Mustangs were having trouble getting in the low 9's and rarely in the 8's.

How do you run a 1.7 60 ft time in a front driver? That must have been on drag radials.

my best time in the nb is 10.17 at about 68 mph with a 2.2/2.3 60 footer. that nc runs good to be in the 9's. i am curious what i can get the bike to run, miata run was pre header and other mods.
