Yet Another...

Hello,

I just bought my first Miata, a '91 Red Miata, and I'm shopping for another already. I plan on building a "Spec Miata".

Ihave driven a coupel fo them and love them for sure. I have mostly been a DSM'er though. Got's to love high horse power and AWD on a low budget. But, you cant really road race 'em because there are no classes worth running in. And i really wanted to run a spec class so I couldnt see starting off in anything else but a Miata.

I turn wrenchs regularly and have worked inthe automotive/technical business for many years so you dont have to worry about too many stupid questions from me but, i do hope to learn some new stuff from everyone and hope to have funa nd make new friends / car buddies.

If you want to talk about Spec cars, Merv's your man. One of these years I'll finish mine too. ;) It's been WAY too long in the making. I haven't even had it out to the track where I have my membership yet. :(

How much does your membership cost out there, if you dont mind me asking? I dont live that far at all from there and would love to have a membership my self once I get the car together. I should drive out there and at least check it out one day. Maybe a day there is a good race going on.

I bought in at the junior membership level and got a discounted price for both signing up before the track opened and for joining with a large group. They don't offer that level of membership anymore. It was the only one that didn't have to pay monthly fees. ;)
