Any heads up on some NAs?

There were 3-4 good deals I missed already before I had cash in hand. Now that I do, there's nothing remotely good on craigslist or autotrader :confused:. Funny how things work!

The only thing I have so far is a red 95R with hardtop. The owner is rfc, who hasn't posted here in a while. He wants $5500 with the HT, and I don't think he'll budge. The car has 95k miles on it, and everything works. The body has no dents he says, but the usual dings/chips. I THINK he said he has maintenance records for it, but I would have to ask him again when we meet. Here's what worries me a little....

" Carfax shows that the car spent its first 9 yrs. in Hawaii, arrived in Texas in '04 with 75200 miles and had a total of 5 title changes. "

There was one on craigslist earlier this morning for $950 with 266000 miles.

Sounds like a good deal to me! That's like getting a low mileage R for 4500 w/o hardtop.

Do low mileage R's still carry that kind of value? I didn't think an LE is even much more than that.

Plus you gotta take off $1K of the red ones.;)

Haha, well, I'm not in a huge rush, so if it goes to a good home then so be it. Earlier in June, one of the BMW guys sold that one montego blue with 63k on it for $5k! It had a torsen, cold a/c, those recarros, and full spec miata suspension! The R badge doesn't mean a single thing to me if I'm just going to replace the suspension in the near future.

You know, there are always one or two crazy deals, why can't I be the one to snag it ::Rant::?!

If this is a nice unmodified, clean title, R pack, who cares how many times the title has been transfered.
Sounds like a decent deal if you want a R w/hardtop.

If it is modified, then its just like a modified LE, etc.
Not worth nearly as much unless its complete, just another Miata.

Ahhhh, you know I meant that figuratively! All I really want is the torsen that comes with it : /. It is indeed unmodified. I'm just going to have to look at it and see.

Just buy it already or somebody else will snatch it at that price. I've got more than that in my 94R and don't have a hardtop! If you don't want the hardtop after you buy it, you won't have any trouble selling it and recovering some of your money.

I hope he gets back to me soon!
