I'm not sure I'm worthy of my Tire Warmer title...I'm very very clueless and it doesn't help that I don't have much time to get into mods and stuff like that. My friend Kenny, shop teacher at Adamson H.S in Dallas, told me that Miata's where great cars to start with and since I was looking for an inexpensive car to advertise the business, I bought this '92 with about 88,000 miles. It is solid and I love it.
Hopefully it will be the start of a beautiful relationship.

There is always a chance your car could break down, but it is rare. Some people trailer their cars, so when this has happened in the past, someone with a trailer usually steps up to take you home... or wherever. As long as your car is maintained, the chances of breaking down at an AX are about the same (maybe a little more) than breaking down anywhere else. People at events tend to be very helpful.Quote:

Since you just picked up your car, you might want to attend a local get together and let someone give your car a quick look-over. You could show up early to an AX event and you will get plenty of help with your car setup and prep for autocross.
Your car will have to pass a technical inspection before they let you autocross it. They will check for wheel bearing slop, brake pedal feel, secured battery, throttle cable in good working order, etc. Basic safety stuff.
