I'm looking at this battery from an old thread. Do these batteries need to be vented? If so, will they accept the OEM vent tubes?

Yes and Yes.
Thanks!
Actualy it's yes/no.
If your car has the big rubber connectors on the end of the vent hoses you'll have to cut them off and just slide the tubes on to the battery. Not a big deal unless you go back to OEM style.
When I put the OEM style back in mine I went to Town North and they gave me a set for free. Well, I did make a parts order while there too... ;) The parts counter guys there are nice to work with.
I have used 2 of the O'Reilly batteries and they do have the vent hose. Good choice for the money and they keep them in stock. I think they are $89 at the store verses $84 you showed on the web, but they will match it. I use the store by me on 15th St. in Plano.

Well after the OEM Mazda battery exploded in my trunk, I will never put another non-AGM in my Miata's.
::Blowup::
Seriously, but it wasn't funny.
I'm really lucky the vapor wasn't ignited.
I bought an AGM from O'Reilly's it seems to be okay
Picked up the O'Reilly battery a couple days ago and made my own TCB vent tubes... so far so good!
