I have a project for my car to replace the old and worn out bushings on my miata. If anyone has some advice I'd like to here it as well as if there are any tools and tricks to the trade to help accomplish this project.
This is what I have found so far if anyone wants to comment on this tool to remove the old bushings.

I used the Harbor Freight tool when I replaced mine several years ago. I found that getting the old bushings out was not the problem. Squeezing the new ones in was more of a challenge. I was replacing the stock bushings with poly bushings.
Rub a little AJ on it. Costs a bit more but sure makes it wasy on you. :)

There is alot more to this story than has been stated. Dan's leaking rear caliper slung brake fluid all over his suspension and wheel, unfortunately. Corrosive brake fluid ate the finish on his wheel as well as a couple of control arm bushings.Quote:

I found another article describing the installation of the poly bushing on a MR2 but I feel this would be similar for those that might want to know.. It describes front and rear.

Since mine still seem to be OK I'd like to try and replace the Upper control Arm Bushing without having to mess with the ball joints. I've been told with this special tool I can leave the ball joint alone and swap the upper bushings (which have turned to dust).
hey POS, i can change out that camber(/caster) eccentric bushing out very quickly! come get it aligned and well get the right in there for ya!
as when doing any bushings, and taking your suspension apart, aligning your car is recommended! having AJ align it is VERY recommended!
