In the last couple of weeks, I noticed that my seatbelt has begun to fray along the lower edge (along the lap, close to the latch, when fastened). Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be looking for a replacement belt (sooner rather than later)?
Sounds like the smart thing to do. IMHO
Sounds more like time to invest in a 5-point harness to me. Why replace when you can upgrade?

I replaced my frayed seatbelt after my car failed the track inspection for the PCA autocross school. IIRC, the Hallett track inspection form also has the inspector checking for frayed seatbelts.
I'm not sure, but I don't think that a five or six point harness is legal for the street. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Your not wrong...but that doesn't mean you still can't get it inspected :PQuote:
