LIVESTRONG Challenge 2009

OK Guys... I don't ask for much (Usually my cohorts ask for it instead...)

But here's the thing. Cancer sucks. I've personally witnessed the Lance Armstrong Foundation doing a lot to make it suck less for patients and their families.

To kickstart my fundraising for the 2009 LIVESTRONG Challenge, I'm offering some "freebies" for you cheap bastards.

Donate today, and you get $1/month credit as an MME supporter. That's right. Donate $25, and I add 25 months of orange to your name. No limit.

Donate any time in December, and I'll give you 1 month for every $5 you donate.

I have 2 MME T-shirts, size large, that I'll give to the first 2 folks to donate at least $25 (that's on top of the other goodies - bear in mind I don't know how to use the post office, so we'll have to meet up somewhere like a Wednesday night thing).

Right after I made my donation the mail arrived. I received a check for my share of some class action lawsuit I didn't even know I was a part of which just about covered the amount I sent in to Livestrong.

I did the Livestrong Challenge this year too (45 miles). However, I raised my funds the old-fashioned way: bugging my family, friends, and neighbors. I also registered for Austin 09 (65 miles). See you there. ;)

I donated the other day. A couple of days later, the credit card company called to verify all the hits on my card. There was only one charge, for the right amount, but they could see the other three times I tried to contribute.

All good, but it took a while.

Well... I'm almost past the $1k mark in fundraising, and you guys have contributed a big chunk of that!

If only I were a TV commentator and people wanted me to shave my head...
