Libre Wheels
So I thought that a great wheel choice would be something light, practically sized and decent-looking. I thought that I had found that in the old American Racing Libre mags and the knockoffs that were produced back in the day.
I thought, surely such a popular wheel would be available used, or new in a throwback design from one of the many knockoff manufacturers out there today. Wrong!
From talking to people who have them or had them back in the day, they were apparently mostly made in the 4x114.3 pattern for Datsuns, but they also came in 4x100 for other makes as well. They were also available in sizes up to at least 15x8". BUT good luck finding them.
The sets I find are mostly 14x6 and 7" with the Datsun bolt pattern, not a single set in 4x100 in any size. Does anyone know of a place to get these or a manufacturer that makes wheels like this anymore?
Thanks!

nothing there really.
looking for someone who is maybe involved in some form of racing that can put hands on some for verification purposes or knows of a dealer/manufacturer.

If I could find some "Libre" wheels to fit, I'd bee all over them.
I'm old enough to remember the 510's, etc. running them.
Up there with "Minilites" for ultimate cool.
Kinda like Torque Thrust for the 5 luggers.
Speaking of "Ultimate Cool"!

I used to have a set of Libres on my Datsun 2000 roadster that were 14 X 6 (the blue one in my avitar), I sold them on Ebay a couple years ago for a little over $900..........
