The wheels on my tire trailer are growling and there is a lot of play in them, so I guess it's time to replace the bearings. I can get some cheapies from Harbor Freight, but does anyone have experience with better quality replacements?
Any tricks to replacing them?

I went with Timken Bearings p/n 30205M 9\KM1 and Timken Seals. I went to Bearings Inc. on 121 with the old Chinese crap bearings and they were able to cross them over to the Timkens. YMMV ;-)

+1 for the Timkens. I got mine at O'Reillys. They were also able to cross reference off the ones that I took out. Don't forget to replace the inner seals also...
