Fry's Electronics Employment Application

Thats freaking hilarous. And not far off.
But on the positive side I went there last night and bought a bluetooth headset for my cell. The guys in the cell department were helpful and although they couldn't answer my questions about compatibility, generally helpful and knowledgeable. Coming from Kansas, I'd never seen anything much better than best buy. I still have to breath deeply for the first minute I'm in frys each time. My credit card shrinks in horror.
HAHAHAHAHA That rocks!
I've had Fry's idiots run out of a sale item... and refuse to give rainchecks. The guy told me a particular item was a closeout and they weren't issuing rainchecks. (It didn't list the item as a closeout in the ad)
I pi$$ed in his post toasties by talking to the store manager and having him make the guy issue me one ;)
It's also amazing the amount of broken stuff they repackage and sell as "inspected by a Fry's employee". I refuse to buy those repackaged things any more.

You never heard that one before? It's about a perfect description of them ;)Quote:

I just walk past them, last time I made the guy chase me out the door to check. If there is a line f-them Im not waiting.
They have automatic weapons, and that means your body may be the one with foreign objects penetrating it :shock:Quote:

I wonder if anyone has ever chalanged the Door Nazi's right to search a bag on exit. You have paid for the goods. They are now your personal property. I could see that they would have the right to search you upon entering... if you don't want to be searched, you don't enter. I would think that they would have to notify you of a exit search when you entered the store. Hmmmm.
They figure you're going to five finger discount a candy bar on the way out...
"Hey, fatty, come back here! Bring back that 'Smores!!"
I don't think it's the five finger discount they are worried about. It's the same thing at Costco and Sam's - to make sure the cashier is NOT conspiring to "mis-ring" your 3-Trillion-GHz CPU as a 286 one. You would be surprised at the number of thefts involving employees. I generally support (or not protest too loudly) of this search as I really enjoy their price.
On a different note (pun intended), I just bought a set of satellite surround speakers with subwoofer from them for a measely $50! It actually sounds okay and now my class-A amp and matched speaker can be safefrom the endless playing of Baby Eistein DVDs that my daughter watchs!
I bought half of my X-mas presents there, they are cheaper than even Walmart and internet on most things.

I like the door nazi idea. The job suits my temperment and I'll be looking for something like it when I retire from being where I am now.
"Gimme that ticket. Show me your stuff. Get out of here."
See - I CAN DO IT  WOO HOO
I live like 1 mile from the Fry's on 635 and MacArthur and I am there all the freaking time. I just bought a $99 computer and a $99 19" CRT in the last month or so. Their loss leaders really rock!
I want a job similar when I retire  My preferance would be working for the airport security, in the front line doing on the body searches. I know the profile on how the screen out potential "terrorists" for the body searchs: blond, tall, young, large 8) , ... you know :evil:Quote:
