I'm supposed to go to the Porsche club AX101 driving school in the morning but just discovered a screw in one of my azenis 615's when putting them on my car. Does anyone know if there's a place to get it fixed this late at night or early in the morning maybe 7ish? Otherwise I won't get to go, don't want to tear up my daily driving tires with an all day autocross event. BTW, I live in North Richland Hills (NE Fort Worth)

Hmm. I think hamm's tire near downtown dallas is open very late at night... under $10 to patch a tire too.
I had that experience with my race tires last year - after 5pm on a Saturday.
I plugged it myself with a kit from Walmart and made the event the next day.
I took it in to have it patched that next week. Still holding air.

I have autocrossed with plugged Falkens and not had any problems. Do like wrx74 suggests, buy a plugging kit at WalMart and plug it yourself.
I carry a plugging kit in my tire trailer and have plugged several tires at autocross and they all held.
Headed to Wal-mart for a plug kit now....

Sorry you missed it. (Now to really rub it in...) It was really a well run event and I got a ton of seat time which I really needed.
Our own wrx74 was my instructor for the day. He was a wealth of help and information. I can't thank him enough for all the help yesterday, too bad he just didn't have a better student to work with :-) Anybody would be well served to hang around him and pick his brain... Hopefully he didn't get frustrated with me laughing at the end of the runs where he drove and I rode along... It was just amazing how he could get the car around the course. Hopefully I'll be able to drive like that someday.
There's another event in March that the Maverick Region Porsche club is putting on out at mineral wells on the 14th. It's the AX102 class. The website say's that you don't have to attend AX101 to do AX102. I really wanted to go to it but I'm going to be out of town that day. You can't beat the price for the events, only about $40-$45 for non-club members. They even provided lunch for yesterdays event. Just go check out their website, they've got several AX, TT and DE events in the next few months.
I wish I'd have taken a picture of the grid yesterday. There were a lot of really nice porsches lined up and then an old beat up miata at the end :-) It was pretty funny. There were several photographers there so hopefully they'll post the pictures somewhere.
Couldn't have asked for a nicer group of folks. Almost made me want to go buy a Porsche and join their club... oh yeah, wait... there's a reason I'm driving an old beat up Miata ::2Dollar: :-)
Yep, they are a nice bunch of guys. I plan to make some of their AX and TT events again this season, too. While I ultimately enjoy AX events more, TT events are a nice change and plenty fun.
