Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys my 92 is not running and we can't figure it out. I was driving down the road and the car just lost power. The motor died but I still had battery power. Rouge has been trying to track down the problem and has replaced the ignitor, CAS, AFM, checked the relays, fuses and pulled the codes. The problem is none of that worked. It is still not getting any spark or fuel to the motor. He bypassed the fuelpump and said it was working and when you do that you can hear the regulator come on too. Any ideas?

Have you tried a different ECU? Also might want to check any of the wiring that you and Adam had to change when you did the 1.8 swap.

+1 for a wiring check. I had a bad splice on the harness to the CAS, and it made the motor die whenever I bumped that harness while trying to set the timing.

The wiring seem to be good. Those are the ones we ended up soldering together since the splices did not want to work. I talk to Rouge about the ECU and Todd has a spare that I'm going to talk to him about borrowing from him to see if that might be it. It makes sense that it might be the ecu since he checked all the relays and it still won't get spark or fuel (after all it does control that stuff). If anyone else has had anything similar keep the ideas coming. The 33 degree rides home the last couple of days have sucked and I don't want to have to do it for a long time. lol

Broken timing belt?

Open the oil cap and see if the cams turn when you crank the motor.

I hightly doubt the timing belt, since DD has the front of the timing cover chopped so he can see the belt

Probably not applicable at all, or if it is, you have already checked it out, but just in case....

On my previous car, the ECU had a few different grounds coming in. Some of the relays were activated by the ECU supplying a ground path while the ignition key indirectly supplied the positive. If I remember correctly, in once case, a bad ground to the ECU ended up causing an ECU activated relay not to work, and cleaning the ground fixed that particular problem. (I think it was an emmisions related relay in that case, but not sure. That car had a lot of problems over the years, so my memory may have things confused.)

I know this is kind of vague and probably is of no help at all, but I figured I'd post possibly meaningless drivel, rather than risk not posting a possible solution or something that points you down another path.
