Anyone have one? How do you like it?
it's just a iphone with no phone, sms, or wireless data. if you want a touch you are really better off getting the iphone even if you don't have att. depending on the phone you get you can jailbreak it and use it on any carrier. hell if you have a jailbreak iphone and t-mobile you can call them up, tell you have a unlocked iphone and they have a data plan for it that you have to ask for.
I got one in may. Wish I had put some screen cover on it because the screen is already scratching. I just use it as an Ipod because my nano had puttered out. Work pays for the phone so I didn't need a second. I have wireless at home and the office so it's connected 90% of the time I want to use it. Bought SimCity for it and that's fun when I'm stuck somewhere and bored.
Sammm aren't you a bit ::OldMan:: for this new fangled technology?
Jena loves her's. She uses it on her breaks to play games, plus she really likes keeping track of things in the calender. If you aren't interested in the monthly bill that comes with an iphone it is the way to go. You already have Att DSL and on some plans they offer free wifi at their locations, so starbucks and many other places may be freely available to you.
Thinking about upgrading from this...

I already have a cell that work pays for. We were thinking about getting a Netbook. Our visting niece showed up with one. Pretty slick with wireless FTW!
I have the 32GB 2nd Gen iPod Touch and have been exceptionally pleased with it. Perhaps the biggest drawback that I can think of is w.r.t BlueTooth connectivity. It seems like the only functionality they give you is A2DP for BT Strereo headsets and Nike+. I would LOVE to see BT or Wi-Fi sync'ing, but I guess iPod touch isn't special enough for either.
Got one. I use it for games, music, movies, etc. The nice thing about it not being my phone is that I can run it down to zero power and not miss a call. Also no monthly wireless bill. The majority of the places I use I have or can access free wifi.
Sara has the touch. I'm not all that impressed. for the money, I would personally go for one of the Asus EEE netbooks. More versatile.
I've had one of the 1st gens for about 18 months, great toy. Since I got my iphone last July, it is now relegated to a being an automated jukebox connected to my home theatre system via a DM port cradle.
I would say get the iphone instead of the ipod. You can find a used 3g iphone reasonably cheap (or at least prices similar to a new ipod) and if you jailbreak as stated previously, it will work for any carrier. I recently got rid of the spare iphone I picked up in case mine had any issues (insurance companies won't insure the iPhone ::Censor::).
Can't jailbreak it for Sprint though....
So did you buy one yet, Sammy?
and I am cheap.
I'm getting the 32gb Ipod Touch (3rd gen). With the price drop I couldn't resist.
