Hello all. i just joined today and wanted to say hello.

My name is Jay and I am an Operating Eng. Basically that means that I am a commercial property mechanic contracted out in Atlantic City. Local 68.

I got a '94 black 5spd about 3 months ago from a ASE Cert Mazda mech. She has had all the maint. done. timing belt,water pump,cam seal,crank seal,valve cover gasket, etc. all fluids were also changed. I just put a short throw shifter and teret oil was changed this past weekend.

I plan on doing a Simpson hood and rear bumper with center exit exhaust. A Garage Vary front splitter and a Simpson trunk spoiler.

This is my first Miata and I'm sorry i waited so long. I love this car. She is awesome. Best stock handling car i have ever owned.

She is my DD for now. I plan on doing a S/C suspension and brakes etc. Here is some pics. I mounted the fog lights and license plate.

One thing I noticed, keep an eye on that radiator. Mine was that color(brown) right before it blew. The plastic starts out black, and turns brown when it get's old and brittle.

Thanks for the heads-up and welcome everyone.

I guess i should plan on a new radiator.

Those pics were after the first paint clensing,compound, polishing,waxing session. I will doing the next one this comming weekend.
In late September i will be repainting the wheels.

I guess we will not be seeing you at the Keller GTG's very often. I'll bet New Jersey is almost as far away as El Paso, only in the other direction. :D

Probably metalic sylver with clear coat. Its pretty much my only option since I'm not a big fan of all black rims. I thought about bronze or gold but i don't think it would look right. Maybe if I had a biege top.

I got her in Lanoka Harbor N.J. Just south of Toms River. When I owned my harley last year, I sometimes used to go down to Redbank. Great back-roads.

I will set her up for SCCA but in a street version. If i buy another one plus this one? then yeah i would track it. I'm having way to much fun with her being a DD.

I grew up in S Jersey. Lived in Somers Point from about 10 years old until I moved out here to Dallas when I was 23. That was nearly 10 years ago now. (Sheesh! Time flies.) Before Somers Point I lived in Toms River (Whiting, technically)
