New Car and Driver Tire Test

Hey everyone, I saw this while browsing the net before class today. Figured others would be interested

Other performance tires vs the Pilot Sport 2.

Based on this test I am not looking forward to driving my XS's when it rains.

Soft springs, afraid of the rain... Someone needs to toughin' this kid up. ;)

ya, FWD vehicle = invincible in the rain, snow, mud, zombie attack.

Why worry?

Mine are just fine in the rain.

The number one factor in wet weather handling (not hydroplaning) is the road surface (grooves is you will). Number two is tire softness.

Zombie Attack? You must have forgotten the fact it is a VW. My car is actually the only one guaranteed to fail during a zombie attack.

I was driving on my bald Hankook RS2s when it got icy this past February. My torqueless monster was able to produce massive wheelspin on SH121 in 5th gear, traveling 30mph. I still managed to get to work and back in one piece.
