Starter?

The '94 on occasion doesn't sound normal as it cranks up. But other times it sounds like a normal happy Miata.

My theory is the starter was run a ton during its "doesn't run" period and is showing signs of the abuse.

Can the starter be rebuilt or is it just a replacement item? Anything else I should check?

Ignition?

There's a starter/alternator/generator rebuild shop I've used several times off Sylvania just a block north of 183 that does good work, but you'll have to wait. For $60 you can get a rebuilt from O'Reillys.

POS, I have an OEM Mazda rebuilt starter B61R 18 400R 00 which I got it from Mazdaspeed by mistake. It has never been installed and new from Mazdaspeed. I looks very clean like brand new. If you are interested, please PM me.

Well I messed with the car today and I still haven't pinpointed the issue.

Of course it knew I was trying to figure out the problem so it didn't act up once today...... Stupid car! :rolleyes:
