WoW Server Problems/Delays

This is not related to a driving game, so mods please delete if necessary. But I read today that World of Warcraft is having significant server problems, and that no more copies of the game will be released until those are resolved. I admire Blizzard for doing the right thing -- they're a class act -- but I confess to being bummed that I won't be able to get my hands on the game for a while longer.

I played it at a friend's house out in LA and it was great. He and I were planning on playing together once I got back, but the delay means no dice. Anyone currently playing it? Do you recommed it?
