Questionable Miata For Sale

A friend directed me to a 99 Miata in Dallas. I've called the dealer twice and my call was directed to a guy who "wasn't at the office". Yesterday he told me to call back tomorrow since it was after 6. Today he told me to text him my fax number so he could send the CarFax report and that's where the call ended. I'm wondering if I should even continue pursuing this Miata or don't even bother if I can't even get a hold of someone at their office. I'm down here in San Antonio so I can't go view it in person unless I want to make the 5 hour trip. Another interesting factor I found was that they have another Miata, 2000, but the listing has the exact same photos as the 99 Miata. 0_o Has anyone ever dealt with AutoNet in Dallas? If anyone is in the area, would you mind checking it out and maybe taking better photos?

Sounds to me like they really don't need the business. I would send them an e-mail or call them and let the know they had a potential sale but their sales staff lack of professionalism canned that.

When a used dealer does that, it means they don't have the car anymore, but are hoping to get you to come to the lot. If they had the car, any person you talked to would happily poach the sale. move on, its a car that was so bad it had to be sold at auction to a used lot, which is usually pretty bad when you're talking Miatas, since they sell really easily.
