So I blew a head gasket and need a new engine :( anyone got one cheap for sale?
Cheaper to just put in a new HG.
Well i am pretty sure the heads are warped or crack in it cause i sure did drive it 60 miles with the gasket blown and temp guage past the H for probably 20 min if not longer...and the engine has 270k miles on it :P
I would still pull the head and check to see how the block and pistons look. See if the deck on the block is warped and see if the pistons have cracks or anything. If they are not you'd be saving yourself a lot of time and labor by just finding a new head. You may not even have to do that if the head didn't warp or crack.

Im pretty sure it was blown before all this stuff bur just not that badly I guess, and i did pull over about 8 times on the way home but i guess the car just had enough. Seems like no matter how much water I put in the radiator it still wanted to drink it all up :P
