I have a customers machine with 3 - 6mm allen head screw that have become one with the machine.... ::Rant::

I've busted my 6mm Allen wrench twice now so I'm thinking I need a meaner tool! Is ther such a think as an Metric Impact Allen Socket??
+1 for Grey Pneumatic. I recently picked up their full sets of metric deep and shallow impacts and love them. The hex set is on my want list. You can usually find pretty good prices on ebay.Quote:

Was it a non-impact hex socket that you broke? For one time use, I would probably just pick up a chrome 6mm hex socket from Sears or the local auto parts store and throw it on the impact wrench. That is what I did to remove the hex bolt that holds on the brake rotor on the MINI. YMMV.

I used to use a screw knocker a.k.a. "'Old Man" to remove old corded screws on aircraft. It required the use of a rivet gun as well, but I guess beats the screw into submission. Unfortunately, I don't have one that I could let you borrow.
