I'm looking at a 95, has ac, cruise control, power windows, no abs, manual locks, and cloth interior.
What do you look for to tell if it has the torsen? I'm going to look at the car in Austin today(Friday)

Get the VIN and call Mazda. They will tell you.
Since it has PW and cruise, that's part of the PEP package. Should have torsen as well.

Only if you pull an axle and look into the diff.
First off, Sammmmmmmmm is right. Call Mazda with your VIN. They can tell you if it came from the factory with a Torsen. That's *probably* still the case, almost certainly so. It is possible, however, that the rear end has been swapped, given that the car has been in the wild for 15 years. If it's a one-owner and you can verify its history, fine. If not, then farphle has the real answer, unfortunately.
If you can get some alone time with the car, there *is* another way...
the dual stripe burnout isn't an effective way of telling lsd from non-lsd.
I'm assuming you're aware of the spotter's guide?
