I don't think he's going anywhere, and that's why he is making a huge f'n deal over it.
Miami.
I'm doubting Miami cause then he won't be "THE PLAYER" who took his team to the title, but just one of 3. It would also be an interesting time watching their games, cause I can see there being 50 fouls against the opposing team, and like 5 against the Heat. Lebron hardly gets called for a foul...EVER. How long has he been in? But he has NEVER gotten 5 fouls in one game!! Statistically that is IMPOSSIBLE, given his minutes and style of play, but this IS the NBA. Plus the just plain AWFUL calls for Wade (go watch some Mavs vs Heat Finals footage if you doubt it)....he gets calls when he is sitting on the bench, when he trips himself driving to the basket (youtube it), and going for a jumpshot without a player within 5ft of him.

BTW: Who really cares about the NBA?
I didn't see that option up there.
Basketball is the most worthless professional sport; and I refuse to watch, unless its the Mavs in the playoffs (Gotta support the local team, regardless if you hate the sport or not) And if you need proof of that. <Also see world cup soccer>
who cares
The only reason I watch is cause they still seem to have team loyalty in basketball...proven by Kobe, Wade, Dirk, etc spending their entire time with one team...but Lebron isn't. I hate the fact that you can't count on hardly anyone in football to be loyal to anything but the dollar.
+1 on ridiculous fouls calls favoring Dwayne Wade in the Finals with the Mavs a couple years back. He had almost twice the number of foul calls than the entire Dallas team. The calls that whole series were so one-sided, I've never really cared too much for basketball after that... I prefer sports where the players dictate the score, not the officials...
Lebronomics. Based on a $96 million dollar contract, state income taxes in NY would be $12.34 million, $10.32 in NJ, $5.69 million to stay in Cleveland. $0 in Florida.
zero in texas too. he may still become a maverick

Um... he's signing with the Heat.
Told ya' - ;)

Yeah I know he's signing with the heat. I suspected he would. But I think the Mavs need to do a sign and trade to get someone like him anyway. So there's still a chance he comes to Dallas; especially if he doesn't get along with Wade and Bosh early in the season.
Yep... it would be nice to have more help besides just resigning Dirk and Haywood. All the big names are gone now, but maybe our young blood will turn the corner this season. I think what the Mavs lack is more role players like Terry (along the lines of Horry, Kerr, or Fisher). What we don't need are egomaniacal head cases like Wade or James.
I suspect Queen James and Dwayne Fade will get along famously. Rumor has it that they've been fast friends ever since they played together on Team USA. I mean, besides them and Bosh, that team is nothing but a bunch of spares. If the thing tanks early on, they can blame everyone else but themselves, then try to fix it mid-season.
Also, expect the Heat to make an appearance at the Death Star vs the Mavs sometime this season...
