trans acting funny after water pump change.

Hi new to the forum, had water pump changed last week, now the car has no power when taking off.but runs as usual after changing to drive.Automatic with od.its like it starts off in drive.could this be from something not getting hooked back up or left loose ,other than that it runs fine.Every thing worked fine before the water pump change. Thank for any help.

Timing belt could be installed wrong, or timing may be set wrong.

My guess, and it is just a guess, is that a wire or a vacuum hose did not get re-attached. I'd look for a loose wire or vacuum hose in the vacinity of the front of the motor.
