Well it is time to get my car inspected and tag. I have heard alot of horror stories of how crooked shops tried to find fault with you car to sell you parts your car do not need.
Can anyone recommend a honest shop that does inspection for an OBD II vehicle? Thank you.
I do not mind driving further but preferably somewhere around Plano/Richardson/garland area. Thank you.
I've never had any issues. I did it at the car wash place this last time on Preston in front of the Lowes in Frisco. I was in and out of there in 10-15 minutes max.
When I lived in north Dallas, I always got my inspections done at the CarSpa at Beltline and Marsh. I never had any upsell attempts, you get a free carwash, and they have a huge area with comfortable seating, 2 TVs, plenty of good car mags, and free wifi while you wait.
If you don't expect any issues, Car Spa is a good place to go for the aforementioned amenities.
If you need a place that might be a bit more "liberal", go to Dallas Discount Tire (?) on Jupiter, a couple of blocks north of Forest.
Thank you everyone for the recommendation. End up going to Carspa for the inspection, took a little longer than expected but it was all worth it. :)
