I'll be removing the VLSD out of my 92 in the next few weeks to put in a torsen.
It has good Redline fluid in it (maybe 1500 miles on it...I'd have to see what I put in....either Superlight shockproof of the 75w90NS (I think this is it). It's worked well for me in AX and on the track. I have use this diff for about 6-8 months and it's worked GREAT for a VLSD.
The only reason I'm going to the 4.1 torsen is for the gearing at MSRH and for AX. Since I'm running 13s mostly now I would like the extra 2-4mph in 2nd and 4th. So that means less shifting :)
This is the tightest one I've used on my car and would be great for anyone with an STS 1.6L miata.
I can deliver it to DFW when I come to visit the inlaws...
ASKING $300. Includes the diff, housing (has 2 fins chipped I believe near the drain plug) and the stub axles. I'll deliver it anywhere within 30 miles of Irving, TX 75062 or in Houston...or if you're in BFE...I can meet ya along 45 on my way into DFW ;)
Pics to come later.
Here's a couple of vids of it in action:
