Put new pads on the POSIV last weekend parked the car & went to Charlotte for the week decided to take it for a run this AM and I can hear the rear brakes dragging??? :confused:
When I installed I turned the adjuster with the allen screw until ya get resistance then backed it off a 1/2 turn. I also cleaned and lubed the slider pins got the w-clips in place and added all new hardware. Bedded the pads and parked the car.
So why am I hearing the sound of a dragging pad??
The higher performance pads probably just make more noise than the OEMs, even when just barely touching the rotors. Maybe ignore it?
Could the new rotors be part of it?

I was having issues with my rear brakes after a rotor/pad change. Someone told me they err on the side of too tight with the adjuster and let the pads/rotors wear in. I think my workshop manual says to tighten the adjuster down until the rotor won't move any more and then back it off 1/3 turn. That's what I've done and it seems good to me.
We'll fix it Sunday.

I had this problem in reverse on the M, New pads and rotors as well as a new caliper on right rear. Set pads 1/3 turn out from tight
against the rotor. Thought all was good. NOT ! drove car and pedal travelled nearly halfway to floor before catching.
Went back into it with bleeder and checked the pads set again. It appears the stop moved on that set screw.
In that it was binding a little in the one spot. Took adjuster out and sprayed with wd 40 reinstalled.
Finshed setting both rears again and now all is tight and good ....Even the parking brakes holds good or 4 or 5 clicks.
double check to make sure tha area where the allen screw is not bone dry....
