Found this Christmas light display in Plano posted online. It looks really cool and I'm going to try to get the family over there to see it before Christmas. Has anyone seen it live?

I hear Interlochen in Arlington is really cool but I haven't braved the traffic congestion to go yet. Anybody have any other great places to go see lights? :santa::reindeer:
I'm offended by Christmas lights.
I'm offended by the people who dont know when just quit with the lights. Guy up the street from me looks like he bought out a freaking store. At the risk of sounding like a potential contestant for a style network show, the stuff just doesnt go together. It's like he has about 6 different schemes and themes going on. Some multi color lights here, clear lights over here, candy can lights on one side the yard, something entirely different on the other.Quote:

Somebody in my 'hood has the lights at his house set to dance to the theme from "Christmas Vacation". Not a Youtube epic, but pretty fun.
That doesn't offend me at all. It makes me giggle when I see a light/decoration display that has clearly gotten out of hand over the years as somebody just kept buying new crap and and adding it on in layers. So what if they don't have an eye for style? Those silly bastards get out there and put a ton of hours into stringing lights, positioning reindeer, nailing Santa to the roof, etc etc etc - not to mention the hit they take on their electric bill. Lights went up at my house Thanksgiving weekend. That's the tradition. We left much of our stuff in the attic this year for a couple of reasons. That means we only have one tree in the house and one in the yard (neighborhood tradition).
As far as tours, I have not been to the Joe Pool tour prairie-lights but I saw the billboard and looked at the site. Might be worth the time.
I want one of the old blow mold nativity scenes, but not for the prices I've seen online.
