Got a welder (Hobart Handler 140) for my birthday. First project is the obligatory cart for it. Made it using some left-over 2x2 and 1.5x1.5 square tubing I hard.
Not finished with it yet.

You'll shoot your eye out, kid.
Good Job! Needs some wheels...
I liked the first one better. It had a welder on it.
Nice!
Thanks guys...it's a work in progress. My welding needs much more practice!
Very Nice!
Cool, I've wanted a mig for a long time. Is there anything more liberating than welding two pieces of metal together?
Did your welder come with a gas kit? Will it accept one? Will you be putting wheels on your stand? Sorry for all the questions, just a big fan of welding and what not.
Wanna build a sim racing cockpit?
I do have a welder. My dad has been a welder of all sorts for 40 somthing years now, he just turned 62 yesterday. He has a ton or two of equipment. If you or anyone needs anything ask before buying, hes not against selling things this late in his time. A gas kit, be it Aragon or C02 or a blend will make a smooth bead much easier and prettier. Also dont cheep out on your wire.
Table is next! :)
My problem is that I don't have room for a table...
but I'm considering a good set of saw horses like these: LINK
I'm considering a folding table. Not as elaborate as this one, but you get the idea.
