How much should I expect to spend on a 1.6L

I need a new (to me) 1.6L since I got the other one a little warm and now it does not like to go very fast.

I am intersted in a good 1.6L engine ( JDM if possible ) to drop into the STS2 car. I have seen some come and go on CL, what ballpark price should I expect on the motor?

If anyone has a good unit that was running when it came out of the car please PM me. I want to get this done over the holidays.

I'd pay at least $2.25 for one, maybe more.

It's not very often that you see good condition 1.6 engine's for sale. The oldest miata's are 1.6's and most guys want a 1.8 anyways. Check with mazda heaven, rebuild your 1.6 or consider installing a 1.8.
