I bit the bullet a few weeks ago and bought a new HP laptop to replace my ancient Dell. So far it's pretty awesome, but I'm having trouble finding/sorting some of my old files. In XP, I could arrange files by "Date Modified" - making it easy to find stuff by date if I couldn't remember what the hell I named it. How does one do this in 7?

Depends on what directory your in. In most directories, go to Details view and you'll get a Date Modified column to sort by.

If you're in music or some others, you have to go to details view, then right click on a column and select "Date Modified" to add it to the view.

Bingo! Thanks guys...
Also if you go to "More" after you right-click, you can select other categories to sort or group by. Say like sorting images by dimensions.
