I desperately need new tires. NTB is offering a BOGO (buy 2 get 2) with purchase of premium inst. pkg. Anyone have any experience with NTB - and would this be a good chance to get tires cheaply or does the premium install negate the savings?

IMHO NTB sucks as a general rule.
The BOGO deal forces you to get the premium tire installation package and 1 year precision vehicle alignment program so any savings on tires will quickly be erased with the extra and in most cases unnecessary services.

My sister called me the other day asking about this deal....
If it sounds too good to be true yadda yadda yadda ;-)
I'm a fan of the Tirerack FWIW.
I've had good luck with Hamm's. They're basically at the intersection of Denton highway and Western Center, just on the west side of the Union Pacific tracks. The price they quote is the amount you pay (taxes and installation are in their price). They also know how to remove and replace the tires without ruining the wheels.
Just got 4 Kumho Ecsta ASTs on Sherry's 10AE, total out the door mounted balanced etc...$308.13. Dallas.
Tirerack FTW!
$200+ less than Discount Tire, I'll watch the hookers and drug deals out of Ice Cream Trucks for that price. That, and the amazing number of folks puttering around on their "HoverRounds".
That makes Discount about $500.
Shipped from Tire Rack to me is $284. Add $40 for mounting and balancing from my guy and you have $324.
While not quite as good of a deal as yours, it is much better than Discount Tire! That is why I only go to DT if it is an emergency.
I know your guy. Hurst is Inspection Sticker Friendly and Tire mounting and balancing Friendly.
