I took some picture of the last set of plugs to come out of my 1994 Miata they had just under 20,000 miles on them.
I'm not skilled enough to read a plug so I thought I'd post my pictures here and see what the experts think. Sorry for the marginal picture quality my camera was being moody!

Looks like you could try a slightly hotter plug. Are those the correct temperature range plugs? Have you sea foamed the engine with these? Deposits on plugs usually are signs of pre-ignition.
#2 looks a little bit oily, but not terrible. They all look somewhat hot, but isn't that from advancing the timing?
It was detonating at the last AX So I pulled those plugs and put in a set of {#BKR5EGP} GP-Series Platinum plugs and put a new set of NGK wires on it..
At the last BMW AX it had no sounds of detonation.
It does use a bit of oil but I think some of it is seeping past the valve cover.
