Hey everyone.
I've just recently picked up a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata as a weekend car. I'd love to meet some other members and organize a photo shoot somewhere in Dallas. I just wanted to pop in and say what's up for now.

Welcome aboard...update your profile so we know what part of DFW you're in.

Thanks black roadster. Done sammm.
I was wondering if I should get a hard top...any reasons why, or why not?
-
Nice car..I've always had a spot in my heart for a MazdaSpeed!
-
Thanks man. When I found out that they made the MSM I started budgeting until I could afford one. Now I'd like to meet up with some other Miata drovers for some photos.
-
Welcome. I love how those MSMs look.
-
Thanks. Here's a shot from the front.

These photos are just after waxing.

Welcome to the miata world from another MSM owner. If you haven't already checked it out, I suggest heading to mazda-speed.com if you have any MSM specific questions, but this place is great for the local miata enthusiast.
-
Welcome, have fun with your Miata.
-
Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to a long and happy life of Miata ownership.

How do I look up what number my MSM is out of the 4000?
-
There's a PDF here, look it up by Year and VIN.
While you're there, check out the Registry if you haven't already.
Welcome to the MSM club! Just watch out for the Titanium Curse! ;)

MazdaSpeed Miata #811. It was made on my birthday. THIS MUST BE DESTINY.
-
are there vin stampings on motors?
-
JRRosales: it's a bit of a running joke in the mazda-speed forums, as the titaniums seemed to be involved in wrecks and fender-benders and have random issues more often than the other colors. There's no real correlation, of course, but it became known as "The Titanium Curse."
Jeff: I don't think so, but with the mess of wires, vacuum tubes and hoses in my engine bay I can't tell. I doubt Mazda would go to the trouble of stamping the VIN on the motor.

Haha okay. I was worried for a little bit. I love the car. I hope nothing bad happens to mine. (knock on wood)
