Thoughts on Spax Coilovers

If you search CL there is a guy selling a set of Spax Coilovers for $300. My question is I have read good reviews on handling on a track but bad reviews on daily driving. I basically want to give my car a better look by lowering it and get better handling on turns. I don't care about roughness because I drive a total of maybe 20 min a day to and from work and it's all down the worst part of 360 which is bumpy and rough no matter how good your setup is. Is this woth it and do you think I might be able to get them for $200? My car still has stock shocks and springs at 155k.

Can't hurt to ask, but he generally prices things fairly. As for ride quality, it all depends on the spring rate. You can change to a softer spring cheaply and easily if you don't liek whats on there now.

Actually, it depends on valving per spring rate. My 450/325 Ground Controls on Bilsteins were horrible; my 700/400 set up with ASTs drives better on than my daily on 115/95lb springs. Yes, even rocking a cup with no lid.

I had Spax coilovers ages ago and they were comfy on the street, I never had them on the track.
