I doubt it's this easy a fix, but does anyone have an NB gas cap I could switch out for a few days and see if the CEL light comes on again? TIA

I just dropped off my car with Stevan earlier this evening but if you haven't found one by time I get it back I can swap out with you. If you're suspecting the gas cap you might swing by the Jiffy Lube on Precinct Line Rd. They have a gas cap tester as part of their inspection equipment. When I suspected my Yukon gas cap was bad last week, they checked it out for free. Several years ago they failed a cap on my 90 miata and it was just a crack in the o-ring. went to o'reillys pulled the o-ring off and matched up a replacement for $0.50. Fixed the problem without having to buy a new cap.
I think I'll run it by there and see if they tell me what I want to hear. Thanks Keifer!
Okay, it was an easy fix. Jiffy Lube wanted to do the whole routine, so they can let me know what the code is that I already knew. But one guy did look at the gas cap and there were some small cracks in the o-ring that I hadn't noticed before. Found a replacement o-ring, cleared the codes and drove a few days before passing inspection. Thanks Keith!
Glad to hear it was an easy fix :D
