I bought this 1994 Miata after test-driving about 10 1.8L NA Miatas. This one was in the best shape, by far, for a decent price, and with a hardtop. I bought it to autocross and eventually HPDE (it’s a third car for us), but new responsibilities and hobbies have gotten in the way of that. It hasn’t gotten the use it deserves. I think I only autocrossed it five times. Here’s what’s for sale as a package:
- 1994 Miata with stock 14” wheels & tires, manual transmission, hardtop (with defroster) & Torsen differential bought 4/29/10 with 128,042 miles. Interior is in amazing shape. As of 9/7/12, it has 132,191 miles. Lots of maintenance items replaced in that period. Price I paid: $3,800.
- Miata has autocross alignment from PTP. I paid: $135.00.
I’m going to give this a couple of weeks on dfwmiata.com to sell as a package. After a couple weeks if no one is interested in the package I’ll post the car on Craigslist and sell things separately. Go ahead and PM me if you are interested in the wheels/tires, numbers, or the hardtop, but I’m trying to sell as package first.

The not-so-good things about this car:
- It’s a car built in 1994, so there are the normal dings, chips, etc.
- Plastic front bumper and rear insert around the license plate is fading.
- From bumper is chipping some.
- There is a scrape on the front-right corner of the front bumper.
- Hardtop is fading a bit.
- There is a tear in the plastic window in the soft-top, which is the main reason I am pricing the whole package pretty low. I have patched it and it doesn’t leak, but the patch is ugly. I either have the hard-top on it or drive with the top down, so it doesn’t bother me. I just have it patched in case of emergency and I need the top up.
- There’s probably some other little things, but for the most part this is a really fun solid NA miata.
