I just bought a 1999 NB Miata from good friend of mine.
This car is bone stock and I like to add some after market stuff, intake exhaust rims suspension hardtop etc......

I might have a lead on a 2001 that a guy is thinking about parting out.
Aren't most of those parts the same as a '99?
Momentary hijack: It has a running engine with about 197k miles on it and a 5spd; what's a reasonable offer for something like that?
If you're interested I can pass on his info.
^ The '01-05' have VVT engines, the '99-'00 do not. Don't know if they are a straight swap or not.
I meant are the parts he's asking for compatible with the ones off the '01. Looks like it's body parts and suspension.
The engine question was for me. I have an '03. :-)

Sorry guys, but the car didn't pan out. It was way too nice to part out, despite the mileage. This guy is a part time used car dealer and said he often runs into run down or wrecked Miata's that he could pick up to part out. I told him there was an interest, so now he's going to look for one.
Hope I didn't get anyone's hopes up. I'll let you know if he has one pan out soon...
let me know.... I want hood since I got bad hail damage.... T.T
