alignment improves ride?

I have been complaining for weeks about the way my na feels with Bilstein HDs and H&R springs. Rough roads like Parker were killing my enjoyment, even thought the car felt like it cornered on rails.

So I had the Techs at work, McDavid Hinda in Frisco, do a custom alignment based on settings I got from Miata.net, and the car feels completely different. Cornering is much better but the ride has also mellowed massively.

Is this normal or is my mind playing tricks on me?

It is normal :) Not only applicable to miatas either. All of the car's I own had their ride quality improved to a certain degree after alignment @ 5th gear.

Ok, I feel silly now. Removing the strut brace also softens the ride. Duh. I'm in love again.
