I'd feel much better if it were 2:08, I was right on it fighting overheating and boost surge last time out. I had a 2:08 going until I went too wide in 10 and got into the loose stuff. I am hoping with the 20 degree cooler temps in November and a new boost controller I will be down into the range where i was in the Mustang or lower.
No need for boost, just stop slowing down for turns.
The SM record for ECR was set last year by Matt Reynolds at 2:07.009, 10-15-11

So, how did it go on Satuday?
Good and not so good.
Shane ran some 2:05's and a personal best 2:04 I think. He had no mechanical issues.
Sandor ran a 2:08.09 personal best his first day on that track. He had no mechanical issues.
Jerome, jdcanadian, had a mysterious water leak we believe led into his exhaust that cut his day short.
I had right front wheel bearing failure after lunch that cut my day short. Got a 2:11 in second session.
Brian, (dunno his times or board name) had a green turboed NB with aero that had a tranny explode.
That covers the Miatas there.

I ran a bunch of 2:04's when the car would stay cool enough to hoon. I did set a new personal best 2:04.3. i only ever ran one 2:04.9-ish in the old Boss 302 i had, the Miata will do them all day if i can keep it cool.
Also, sorry i didn't get a chance to meet up with any of the other Miata drivers, having two students kept me very busy.
