Can anyone guide me through the steps of installing a manual on/off switch for my radiator fan that I can control from center console/dash? It seems simple but I've never rigged up a switch like that. Reason is because my fan randomly stops working sometimes and the car starts overheating because of it.
And you think thats going to keep it from overheating?
Its easier to just replace the dead spotted motor.

Miatas have good cooling systems, provided they are functioning properly. Fix the problem properly and you will be good to go.

Normally aspirated Miata cooling system is up to the task. Boosted is a whole different ball game. I agree with the consensus. Fix the problem, don't just add a band-aid.
